I tell you, someone in my block is practising for Singapore Idol II. And fully needing the practice too. Every time I'm in the shower, I hear his screaming over and over again. So painful, I tell you. And when he gets the notes wrong, he goes back to do the WHOLE thing over again. Bathing used to be a relaxing activity when I wind down at the end of the day. I'm scared to go to the shower now. It's like Psycho, you know, in that famous murder scene.

So I haven't been updating. My life has been eventful though. I think I've met more Perth people these 2 weeks than I have last year. Or maybe not. But it was great catching up with Wen, Ernie, Randy, Vinny and meeting Amanda for the first time. Got me a bit nostalgic. When I first came back to Singapore and got wind of all that was going on in Perth, I felt like I was missing out on a big deal. Like life was going on there without me. And strangely, it hurt a little. Ok, it hurt a lot. But now, I've fully assimilated to life in Singapore and I don't feel left out anymore. Just nostalgic. But I guess that's how it works huh.

It's strange how I've been talking about this for 3 years. It's my 4th year back in Singapore now but I still don't seem to be able to forget my life in Perth. I guess I never will. I'll never get over Perth. It's wonderful though, to know that I have a home elsewhere in the world as well. And then again, it's sobering to realise that this world is not my home.

But I'm getting too philo. Which means it's time for bed.
